Arnold H Dudley

March 24th, 1919 to February 7th, 2014

Arnold Dudley, 94, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 in Florida. Despite his age, it was unexpected, as he was in good health and still lived on his own.

He was born March 24, 1919 in Brown City, Michigan to the late Harvey and Emma Dudley. He married Isabelle M. Whiting on September 17, 1938 in Napoleon, Ohio. She preceded him in death on January 22, 2008.

Mr. Dudley was an office clerk for Star Oil Company before retiring after 33 years of service. He was a loving husband and great father, who loved spending time with his family. Arnold was a very religious man who loved the Lord and was a faithful servant of God and church. He was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and also enjoyed bowling and working outside. The world has lost a great example and all who knew him have lost a mentor and all-around good man. He will be missed by many.

Mr. Dudley is survived by his daughters, Mary (Dan) Stevens and Alice Kay (Dale) Saunders; grandchildren, Kirk Saunders, Trina Avedisian, Mike Saunders, Jill Saunders and Andrea Hartson; five great grandchildren; sister, Irene Boven; brother, Forest Dudley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald, who passed away at age 10.

Visiting will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Tim Anderson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot. Pallbearers will be Kirk Saunders, Dan Stevens, Mike Saunders, Justin Saunders, Joshua Avedisian and William Walker.

Memorials may be made to the Macular Degeneration Association.
