Kenneth Philip Smith, 84, of Clyde Township, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014.

He was born March 15, 1930 in Bad Axe to the late Alger and Irma Smith. He married Nadine Setter on September 24, 1955 in Port Huron. She died September 20, 2013.

Mr. Smith was an Industrial Engineer with Mueller Brass Company. He graduated from Port Huron High School in 1948 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of V.F.W. Charles Schoor Post 796 and First Presbyterian Church and was a former leader of Boy Scout Troop 130. Kenneth was an avid hunter and loved to travel to far off places, including Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean and throughout the United States. He was an avid collector of memorabilia and was a former member of the Blue Water Auto Restorers Club.

He is survived by a son, Brian (Brenda) Smith; two grandchildren, Nicole Biskner and Brianne Smith; four great grandchildren, Jayden, Kaelynn, Braylen and Alivia; a brother, Lysle (Betty) Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey and Scott Smith; and a sister Marlene Hendrick.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend Jason Pittman will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
