Weyman L Stapleford

February 19th, 1945 to April 30th, 2015

Weyman L. “Butch” Stapleford, 70, of Burtchville Township, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

He was born February 19, 1945 in Marysville to the late Ernest and Marie Stapleford. He married Marilyn Inch on December 26, 1964 in Port Huron.

Mr. Stapleford served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a shop foreman for forty years with Prestolite Wire Company and American Tape. His life revolved around his family and he enjoyed spending time with them hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and going to church activities.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marilyn; two sons, Robert (Theresa) Stapleford and Reverend Scott (Jackie) Stapleford; five grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Robert, Jessica and Carrie Stapleford; two great grandchildren, Jasmine and Landin Stapleford; his sister, Carol (John) Robertson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roy L. Stapleford.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Matthew Harvey will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert G., Scott, Michael, Matthew, and Robert W. Stapleford, Gordon and Robert Inch. Military honors will be under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council and the U.S. Air Force.

Memorials may be made to North Street Baptist Church.
