Obituary

Sharon Kay Spradling, 59, of Marysville, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.

She was born April 15, 1956 in Port Huron to Gladys and the late Charles Lymburner.

Sharon was a Certified Public Accountant with Linscheid, Austin, Frohm & Associates from 1980 to 1985 and held the positions of Controller, CEO and President of London’s Farm Dairy from 1985 to 1996. More recently, she held executive positions with several other businesses, including AZ Automotive, HHI Holdings and Dependable Heating and Cooling. She served on the United Way of St. Clair County Board, the St. Clair County Community College Advisory Board and the Detroit Falcons Professional Hockey Club Board of Directors. She was also director of the Michigan Dairy Foods Association, director and treasurer of Commercial & Savings Bank and a member of Financial Executives International. She was a “hockey mom” and enjoyed boating and golfing.

She is survived by her beloved sons, Daniel (Shannon) Spradling of Hermosa Beach, CA and Matthew Spradling of Ferndale; her mother, Gladys M. Lymburner of Marysville; three brothers, David (Mary Margaret) Lymburner, Rick (Cathy) Lymburner, and Greg (Jackie) Lymburner; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her significant other, Harold Brown.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Inurnment will be in Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium.

Memorials may be made to the Clearity Foundation for ovarian cancer research.
