Donald K Thomas

Donald Keith Thomas, 87, of Port Huron died Saturday, April 16, 2016 after a brief illness.

He was born October 11, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Keith and Cora Thomas. He married Joanne E. Marsa on November 20, 1954 in Marine City.

Donald graduated from Port Huron High School in 1946 where he was a star player on the basketball team. He was employed with Prestolite Wire Company for 33 years and then worked alongside his wife in her interior design business. He was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church where he served on the board of Elders. In his spare time he enjoyed sailing and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne; son, Kenneth D. Thomas; grandsons, Ross and Tyler Thomas; brother-in-law, Dale (Donna) Marsa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Thomas; and sister, Dorothy Burns.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, April 21, 2016 in First Presbyterian Church. Reverend Jason Pittman will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
