Stuart Robert "Bob" Dinkel

December 10th, 1921 to February 4th, 2017

Stuart Robert “Bob” Dinkel, 95, of Port Huron, died Saturday, February 4, 2017.

He was born December 10, 1921 in Bayport, Michigan to the late William and Hulda (Werschky) Dinkel. He married Ilah Mae Werth on November 16, 1946. They celebrated 68 years of marriage before her death on November 29, 2014.

Bob served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Dunn Paper Company in Port Huron and Wiggins, Mississippi, before his retirement in September of 1986.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved golfing, bowling, traveling, playing cards with friends, and volunteering at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.

He is survived by his daughter, Audrey (Jeff) Beckett; son, Gregory Dinkel; grandchildren, Tina Dinkel, Kristi (Dan) Kaltenbach and Lindsey (Calvin) Brown; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edgar, Ray, Loren, and Kenny; and sisters, Wilma, Nelda, and Doris.

Private family inurnment services have been held at Allied Veterans Cemetery, Port Huron.

Memorials may be made to McLaren Port Huron Hospital or McLaren Port Huron Hospice.
