Margaret Ruth Collins, 96, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

She was born November 11, 1921 in Kalamazoo to the late Charles and Myrtle Eversole. She married Orville Collins on July 27, 1989 in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Collins graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and worked 13 years for the Michigan State Police. She was also a receptionist and registrar for the Boy Scout of America in Port Huron for ten years and in 2016, at the age of 95, traveled by train with her husband, Orville, to New Mexico to visit the Philmont Scout Ranch BSA. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her husband, Orville Collins; four daughters, Nancy (Legare) Coleman, Linda Havens, Karen (Gary) Munce and Janice (Michael) Berg; two stepsons, Larry (Bea) Collins and Bradley (Cheryl) Collins; 13 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary DeLuca; a brother, Charles; and a sister, Harriet.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 in First Church of the Nazarene with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Tim Hardyman will officiate.

Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit, Wisconsin.
