Robert G Steele

Robert Greeley Steele, 70, of Marysville, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

He was born April 15, 1941 in Port Huron to Greeley L. and the late Virgeline Steele. He married Linda Garrow on November 24, 1962 in Port Huron.

Bob worked in the plastics industry as a sales rep for many years before opening his own business, R.G. Steele & Associates. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Marysville American Legion Post 449.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda; four sons, Scott Steele of Marysville, Todd (Julaine) Steele of Port Huron, Steve Steele of Lansing, and Paul Steele of Marysville; three grandsons, Troy, Brian, and Tyler Steele; his father, Greeley L. Steele; two brothers, Don (Judy) Steele of Marysville and Bill (Mary Ann) Steele of Port Huron; and several dear sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private family services have taken place at the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium. Military honors were conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
