Archer L Malott

January 13th, 1923 to February 29th, 2012

Archer Leonard Malott, 89, of Port Huron, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from Marwood Manor in Port Huron.

He was born January 13, 1923 in Davenport, Iowa to the late Albert and Alla Lee Malott. He graduated from Harding High School in Marion, Ohio and attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. He married Phyllis A. Hemminger on April 4, 1946.

Mr. Malott was an industrial designer and enjoyed art, many types of music and studying his Bible.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; nine of his ten children, Cheryl (Franklin) Spotts of Port Huron, Meryl (Steve) Way of St. Clair, Robert (Debbie) Malott of Novi, Barb (Leon) VanTroostenberghe of Port Huron, Pat (Mike) Moak of Port Huron, Peter (Mary) Malott of Ridgefield, Washington, Marc Malott of Lexington, Larry Malott of Midland, North Carolina and David (Sara) Malott of Rockford, Illinois; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hoyt of Simpsonville, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Malott; a grandson, Kyle Malott; and a brother, Keith Malott.

Visitation will be 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A private memorial service will be held in Griswold Street Baptist Church for his immediate family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Francophone Ministries for Christ or the Sunday School Fund at Griswold Street Baptist Church.
