William K DeFrain

William Kenneth DeFrain, 85, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 31, 2012.

He was born October 29, 1926 in Detroit to the late Henry and Celia DeFrain. He married Lorraine Walendzik on November 4, 1976 in Warren.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Detroit and worked as a CPA with Plante & Moran for 39 years before his retirement. He was also a drummer for many years with several groups including the Earl Perkins Band, and was an Einstein and Richard Feynman devoté.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Marysville; his children, Nancy (Bob) Matthews, Alan (Ann Marie) DeFrain, Mark DeFrain, Sharon (David) Wooten, and Kenneth DeFrain; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice; sister, Lucille; brother, Henry; and niece, Mary Joyce.

Private family services have been held.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
