Obituary

Genevieve M. "Jen" Currie, 84, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, August 11, 2012.

She was born June 2, 1928 in Detroit and moved to Capac as a young girl. She married Walter "Bud" Currie on August 24, 1946 in Capac. He died April 14, 1979.

She is survived by five children, Nikki Carse, Dean (Judy) Currie, Sally Currie, Rick Currie and Jeanne (John) Telfer; five grandchildren, Lori, Deena and Jennifer Currie, Ammie Winstone and Jamie Currie and Renee Wulff and John Telfer; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Conan-Thompson. The love and joy Jen had for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was boundless and unconditional. Her dear friends, Dick and Sue Davies enriched her life immensely. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lee.
