Joy S Whitman
She was born September 29, 1959 in Port Huron to the late Gordon and Marcella Moak. She married Clint Whitman II on August 2, 1993.
Mrs. Whitman was a self-employed cosmetologist at Dimensions Hair Gallery. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, shopping, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren. Her family will always remember her great style and beauty, her flair for decorating, and her thoughtful and giving nature.
She is survived by her husband, Clint; four children, Jodi (Anthony) Powell, Michelle Sheffer, Stephanie Kimmerly and Gavin Whitman; six grandchildren, Tony, Heaven and Chynna Powell, Destiny and Diamond Sheffer and Janiah Curry; six sisters, Bonnie (Ron) Baker, Judy Greene, Pat (Marv) Hardy, Connie (Larry) Burdick, Debbie (Dave) Hoag and Kathy (Jim) Owens; four brothers, Gordie (Terry) Moak, Terry Moak, Mike (Pat) Moak and Wayne (Tina) Moak; a brother-in-law, Dennis Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Adams and Cherry Schackenberg.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Monday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Reverend Randy Bennett of Blue Water Free Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Moak, Randy Hinkley, Ronnie Hinkley, Marv Hardy, Terry Moak Jr. and Jason Sheffer.
