Richard O Maynard

Richard O. Maynard, 80, of Marysville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

He was born May 4, 1932 in Detroit to the late Ralph and Louise Maynard. He married Dorothy Slocum on January 14, 1989 in Harrison Township.

Mr. Maynard was a manager with Comerica Bank prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, enjoyed traveling, keeping up his house and yard, watching the freighters, and mowing the grass on his John Deere tractor.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four children, Pam (Ramon) Badia, Rick Maynard, Steve (Ellen) Maynard, and Karen (Andy) Leja; ten grandchildren; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille; a granddaughter; and his brother, Larry.

Private services will be held in Riverlawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Marysville Fire Department.
