Glenn S Caulkett

Glenn Silas Caulkett, 85, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital.

He was born December 9, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Glenn T. and Margaret Caulkett. He married Wilma Hobson on July 22, 1950 in Port Huron. She died March 13, 2001.

Mr. Caulkett served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and also served in the Merchant Marine. He was a chef for Black River Country Club and Traveler’s Lodge for many years. Glenn had also worked for Mueller Brass, the Harrington Inn and as a house painter who helped paint the Blue Water Bridge.

He is survived by a daughter, Gloria Smalldon of Port Huron; a granddaughter, Kimberly Smalldon-Louks of Port Huron; a great granddaughter, Jade Nicole Louks; a sister, Berneice Stiefel of Dearborn Heights; a nephew, Ronnie Stiefel of Dearborn; and a niece, Margie Hammond of Flat Rock.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
