David R Coté

David Richard Coté, 79, of Marysville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

He was born January 28, 1943 in Port Huron to the late Leo and Bernice Coté. He married Lillian Louise Rock on December 4, 1993 in Port Huron.

David served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a machine operator for many years prior to his retirement. He loved spending time outdoors, going hunting, fishing and camping up north. He enjoyed repairing computers and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lillian; three children, Teresa Loeding, Debby Scheffler (Tom Hanes) and David Coté (Christina LaVelle); step-children, Barbara (Joe) Pennington and Shannon (Lee) Tillery; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Donbrosky and Sandra (Doug) Brazzell; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Kurt Loeding; brothers, Leo Coté Jr., Robert Coté and Ronald Coté; sisters, Shirley Radatz and Charlotte Tacia; and step-son, Phillip Harris.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 in the Lakeside Cemetery Chapel. The Reverend William Kenner will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Columbarium, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Clair County Department of Veterans Affairs.
