Evelyn E Swainson

Evelyn E. Swainson, 89, of Port Huron, died Monday, May 29, 2017.

She was born November 8, 1927 in Port Huron to the late Elmer and Ruth Schumaker and was a lifelong area resident.

During her career, Evelyn was employed with Woman’s Benefit Association, Ullenbruch’s Flower Shop and St. Clair County Community College. She was a Life Member and Past Worthy Matron of Mystic Chapter #58 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two children, Thomas “Mick” (Sharon) Burns and Kathryn (Robert) Fiedler; three grandsons, Mark (Christi) Fiedler, Jason (Amy) Fiedler and Seth (Erin) Fiedler; ten great grandchildren, Morgan, Trenton, Logan, Sophia, Lucy, Nolan, Ruby, Carver, Rider and Tucker Fiedler; and special friend, William “Bill” Bernum. She was preceded in death by husbands, Thomas Burns and George Friend.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 in First United Methodist Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Jason Fiedler will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark, Jason, Seth and Robert Fiedler.
