Yvonne L Herbert

Yvonne Lucille Herbert, 93, of St. Clair, died Friday, December 6, 2013.

She was born May 3, 1920 in Port Huron to the late Felix and Lucille Gergowski. She married Jack P. Herbert on September 18, 1948 in Toledo. He passed away June 14, 1993.

Earlier in her life, Mrs. Herbert was employed at the Chrysler Marysville Plant. She was a member of the Marysville Ladies Golf League. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Craig (Lynne) Herbert and Charles Herbert; two step children, Shirley Ann Bearden and Robert (Janice) Herbert; daughter-in-law, Patricia Herbert; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and several nieces including Barbara Miller and Patricia Nestle. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley E. Miller, brother, Arthur W. Gergowski, and stepson, Richard Herbert.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Herbert will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Arthur Baranowski will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig P. Herbert, Charles Herbert, Craig R. Herbert, Christopher Herbert, John Bennardo, and William Nestle.

Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice or Marwood Nursing & Rehab.
