Frederick Hilliker
October 7th, 1941 to December 14th, 2013
Frederick Gordon Hilliker, 72, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Pontiac and Port Huron, died Saturday, December 14, 2013.
He was born October 7, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Gordon E. and Freda Hilliker.
Mr. Hilliker worked for General Motors for 35 years until his retirement in 2000. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Beale DD-471, was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and a member of UAW Local 653. Fred was a sports fan, but more than anything enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, JoAnn (Don) Therrien of Port Huron; a nephew, Stephen Therrien (Patricia Ohlert) of Orange Park, Florida; a niece, Kelli (Jim) Amero of Apple Valley, Minnesota; a great niece, Mallory Michaluk; and many cousins.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend Mark Madson will officiate.
Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council and the U.S. Navy. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
