William D Fox

September 11th, 1919 to June 22nd, 2014

William Dingwall Fox, 94, of Port Huron went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 22, 2014.

He was born September 11, 1919 in Port Huron to the late Irwin and Jessie Fox. He married Eloise Joyce Briscoe on August 28, 1948 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2005.

Mr. Fox was a highly respected public servant with the State of Michigan, City of Port Huron and St. Clair County where he served as manager of the City County Building and also as a Juvenile Court Officer. He served in the US Army during World War II. Bill was a devout Christian and a long time member, Sunday School teacher and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was proud of his Scottish heritage, and loved to follow baseball, especially the Tigers.

He is survived by his sister, Eleanor Spaniolo; and her children, James, Thomas, Margaret and Virginia Spaniolo; four sisters-in-law, Gloria Robbins, Nancy Tenniswood, Irene Lindeborg and Shirley Briscoe; and their children, Christine, David, Charles and Tim Robbins, Tom and Jim Briscoe, William, David, Kathleen and Dr. Jennifer Briscoe, Mark, David and Stephen Tenniswood, and Lynn Camarotti; caring and devoted longtime friends, Jim Swick and Yvonne and Jack McColl; and dear friend, Marie Loewenthal.

Visiting will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 in Westminster Presbyterian Church. Dr. Thomas Brown will officiate.

Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James and Thomas Spaniolo, Jim Swick, Jim, David and William Briscoe. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army.
