William Campbell

William Francis Campbell, 82, of St. Clair Township died Saturday, August 23, 2014.

He was born January 2, 1932 in Detroit to the late Charles and Elizabeth Campbell. He married Betty Bond on November 2, 1957 in Port Huron.

Mr. Campbell was employed as a plumber with Plumbers Union Local #98 for over fifty years prior to his retirement. He served with the U. S. Army of Occupation in Germany. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking and built many of the furnishings for their home.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty; children, Vicki (James) Smack, Eric Campbell, Merri (Jeff) Rieg, Barry (Erin) Campbell and Charles (Jill) Campbell; seven granddaughters; three great grandchildren; brother, Richard Campbell; sisters, Karen (David) Amon and Diane Laurella; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fritz, Raymond and Lowell Campbell.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Grace Hospice.
