Margaret Galbraith
Margaret D. Galbraith, 72, of Kimball Township, passed away peacefully Friday, August 29, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born September 9, 1941 in Utica to the late Maurice and Sophie King. Margaret was raised on the family farm, had a heart of gold and a smile to match. She was truly a country girl at heart and was loved by everyone she ever met.
On June 28, 1974, she married John J. Galbraith who was also a farm boy from the Croswell area. She and John enjoyed over 40 years together, 27 of those at their family business as John Deere dealers in Wadhams where they made many lasting friends.
Margaret leaves behind her husband, John; six children, Bruce and Denise Leach, David and Karen Leach, Susan and John Lamarsh, Brian and Sandy Leach, Kelly and Tim Raymo, and Dan and Ryan Galbraith-DeWolfe; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her brother, Charles and Donna King; sister, Ruth Kolachovich; dear friend and business associate, Debbie Glasser; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and friends.
Margaret was known as Grandma Tractor to the great grandchildren due to her selling tractors at the family business for many years. She will be truly missed by all involved in her beautiful life here on earth and was assuredly welcomed by her Lord and family in Heaven. Her last words to her family were, “you will be alright, we will always be together.”
A memorial service for Marge will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the family home, 7118 Griswold Road, Kimball Township.
Memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice or the March of Dimes.
