John F. Seelow, 72, of Ft. Gratiot Township died Thursday, October 9, 2014.
He was born March 18, 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late John G. and Paula Seelow. He married Karen L. Mahnke on April 27, 1962 in Mt. Lebanon Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mr. Seelow was the director of IT for Schlitz Brewing Co. which later became Stroh’s Brewing Co. After retirement, he served as the Executive Director of the American Breweriana Association. He was a treasurer for Faith Lutheran Church and currently attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen; four daughters, Kim (Pastor Kevin) McKenney, Kris (John) Jenswold, Kathy (John) Turk and Kay (Steve) Dekett; thirteen grandchildren; brothers, Pastor James (Patricia) Seelow and Pastor Jeffrey (Peggy) Seelow; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Vraney.
Memorial services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visiting starting at 11 a.m. Pastor Stan Liechty will officiate.
Burial will be in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Milwaukee at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Colonial Woods Missionary Church or the American Cancer Society.
