Many people will remember our Mom for the love and attention she gave them sending cards and notes for their birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, and health concerns. Her love for her church and her beliefs made her very active at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She sang in the choir for many years and continued to appreciate and love all the music contributions given at Pilgrim. She loved people and gave in ministry to them by making and delivering quilts to care facilities, visiting and delivering flowers to shut-ins, delivering supplies to food pantries, and volunteering at Mid-City Nutrition Center. Pastor Hitzeroth learned to NEVER say the word “lucky” - it was “God blessed”. She loved playing cards and bowling and made lifelong friendships through the fun shared in competition.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with visiting from 1:00 pm. Reverend John W. Hitzeroth will officiate.
Memorials may be given in Eileen’s name to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or Blue Water Hospice.
