Dennis M Marone

Dennis Michael Marone, 72, of Port Huron Township, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

He was born February 6, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Mary Marone. He married Karen Ferguson on May 23, 1980 in Port Huron.

Mr. Marone was a field superintendent for Commercial Contracting, formerly Pulte Construction. He attended Hillside Wesleyan Church and was project manager when they built the Hillside Family Life Center. He went on several trips with Joshualand Ministries to build churches and to Joplin, Missouri to do disaster relief with Poured-Out. He loved to spend time in his pole barn restoring tractors, cars and other things.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Susan Williams and Laurie Marone; three sons, Dr. Scott (Syeda) Ferguson, Mark Ferguson and Joel Ferguson; nine grandchildren; a sister, Jane Phelps; several nieces and nephews; and their beloved dog, Kandi.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Hillside Wesleyan Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend William Kinnan, Jr. will officiate.
