Toini I Wingard
Toini Ingrid Wingard, 94, of Clyde Township, died Sunday, May 24, 2015.
She was born September 7, 1920 in Detroit to the late Arvid and Maria Norton. She married Jess Wingard on October 31, 1942 in Port Huron. He died March 2, 2007.
Mrs. Wingard was a homemaker most of her life but also worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Mueller Brass, Mary Maxim and Austin Construction. She was an active member of Ross Bible Church for over 60 years and loved God. Toini was an excellent cook and loved to feed everyone. She enjoyed nature, especially spending time at “the cabin” she and Jess built in Lewiston, Michigan. She loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Marie Caister, Gail Case, Janet Sanders and Laurel (Randy) Urcavich; a son, David (Linda) Wingard; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Dennis Caister; a son-in-law, Jim Caister; and a sister, Elin Lowes.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Ross Bible Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Steve Scott, Pastor Tim Clark and Pastor Douglas Caister will officiate.
Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Mrs. Wingard’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ross Bible Church.
