Dorothy V Smith

Dorothy Verna Smith, 91, of Marysville, was taken to heaven to be with Jesus on Friday, June 5, 2015.

She was born November 21, 1923 in Port Huron, the last child of the late George and Edith Smith. She married Gerald M. Smith on December 13, 1947. He died June 6, 1995.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church all her life.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy Smith (Sue Carrier) and Michael (Marian) Smith; a daughter, Vicki (Bob) Fowler; grandchildren, Dawn (Will) Quendau, Timothy J. (Macie) Smith and Robert (Nicole) Fowler; great grandchildren, Kelly (Levi) Ekanger, Kevin Quendau, Kailey & Kyle Smith and Harper Grace Fowler; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Delores) Smith and Richard (Eva) Smith; sister-in-law, Eleanor Wagner; and several nieces and nephews including Sandi (Tom) Hustkek, who was like a second daughter. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert (Goldie) Mertz, Maynard (Violet) Smith, Charles (Mozelle) Smith, George (Margie) Smith and brother and best friend, Clifford (Norma) Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Florence (Anson) Babcock; daughter-in-law, Diane Smith; brothers-in-law, William Smith, Fredrick Smith, Robert Smith and Carlton Smith; sisters-in-law, Barbara Bullard and Shirley Marsh and sister-in-law and great friend, Joyce Dunlap.

Private graveside services will be held at Lakeside Cemetery.
