Edward J Tomlo
Edward Joseph Tomlo, 80, of Marysville, died Thursday, August 6, 2015.
He was born January 20, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Edward and Mary Tomlo Sr.
Mr. Tomlo graduated from St. Stephen High School in 1952 and joined the U.S. Army 5th Armored Division at Camp Chaffee Arkansas and served as a medic. He was employed with Detroit Edison Company prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, the Elks Club and enjoyed golf and baseball.
He is survived by three children, Keri (Robert Swoffer) Tomlo, Corrine Tomlo and Mark Tomlo; four grandchildren, April Storey, Cali, Danea and Hailey Swoffer; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Karsin and Jayce; brother, Dr. Thomas (Brenda) Tomlo; sister, Marilyn Tomlo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Tomlo.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army at 4 p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Gagnon will officiate.
Burial will be in the Riverlawn Cemetery Columbarium.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
