Steven R Ostrander

Steven Russell Ostrander, 52, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at home surrounded by his family and friends, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born August 15, 1963 in Port Huron to the late James and Jennie Ostrander. He married Vicki Lynn Barnes on August 24, 1985 in Port Huron.

Prior to his illness, Steven was employed at Pro-Weld, Camm’s Meat Market and Badley’s Party Store. He enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vicki; daughter, Christina; grandpuppy, Bella; brother, Richard (Sis) Ostrander; four sisters, Debbie (Dennis) Heck, Beverly Ostrander (Mike Brunke), JoAnn (Jeff) Fryman and Brenda Ostrander; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother James “Geg” Ostrander.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 in The River Church of God, 3675 North River Road, Fort Gratiot. Pastor Bill Wahl and Bill Forbes will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are by the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
