Leroy L. Hart, 91, of Kimball Township, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
He was born January 7, 1924 in Port Huron to the late Harvey and Jennie Hart. He married Margaret Domann on June 27, 1953 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on September 30, 2013.
Mr. Hart served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following the war, he was a self-employed carpenter, farmer and barn whitewasher. He was later employed with Ingell Refrigeration for many years as a sheet metal worker. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #12, American Legion Smiths Creek Post #525 and Sturges Memorial Congregational Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Larry) Leslie and Barbara Shappee; son, Michael (Jeri Lynn) Hart; grandchildren, Brandy Mason, Holly (Brian) Wilson, Daniel (Jenny) Hart, Jessica Shappee, Laura Leslie and Drew Hart; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Spencer and Dorothy Teeple; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Reverend Robert Harrell of Sturges Memorial Congregational Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
