Vaughan L Loxton
Vaughan L. Loxton, 91, of Port Huron died November 16, 2015 in McLaren Port Huron.
He was born March 6, 1924 in Port Huron to the late Bertha and Lloyd Vaughan Loxton. He married Gayle Irene Ewart on June 17, 1950 in Port Huron. She died on April 18, 1998.
Mr. Loxton retired in 1985 after over 25 years as a building inspector with the City of Port Huron. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a life member of V.F.W. Charles Schoor Post #796.
He is survived by a son, Rick (Debra) Loxton of Atlanta, Michigan; three daughters, Linda (Richard) LaLone of Port Huron, Sharon (Jack) Alexander of Belmont, N.C. and Sandy (Douglas) Harrison of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Treasa and Craig Nunez, Jenny Knisley and Jimmy Bowie II, Michael and Kelly Harrison, Mandy and Dave, Jr. Chemin and Shawn Harrison; great grandchildren, Jackee’, Craig Jr., Jeanne’ and Juliette Nunez, Cole Harrison and Jayden Chemin; and a brother, Stewart “Tim” (Diana) Broadbent of Texas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Smith; a son-in-law, Jack Knisley; and a great granddaughter, Jordan Harrison.
At his request, family committal services with military honors will be held in Lakeside Cemetery in the spring of 2016.
