Virginia H Hamilton

Virginia H. Hamilton, 89, of Port Huron, died Monday, November 16, 2015.

She was born July 18, 1926 in Port Huron to the late Daniel and Katharine Hayes. She married Robert Hamilton on November 26, 1947. He died May 3, 1987.

Mrs. Hamilton worked for the Port Huron Area School District as a secretary before her retirement. She was the past president of the Leesburg Regional Medical Center Auxiliary in Florida.

She is survived by three daughters, Katharine (Barry) Schnur, Patricia (Steven) Setter, and Melanie (Craig) Weston; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Daniel W. (David Schwarz) Hayes; brother in law, Thomas Hamilton; three sister-in-law’s, Marion VanLuven, Sue Ann Bridge, and Betty Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews including, Sheri Kress and Dan Hayes Jr.

Private services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Research or Marwood Manor Activities Fund.
