Kim Eileen Madis, 56, of Marysville, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015. She had a long battle with cancer, fought with grace and strength.
She was born September 6, 1959 in Port Huron to Janet and the late Harry Jones. She married Kenneth Madis 35 years ago in Marysville.
Mrs. Madis taught French and English at Marysville High School for nearly 30 years. She was a graduate and member of the band at Marysville High School, SC4, and Eastern Michigan University. Most important to Kim was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; four children, Kellie Madis, Kevin Madis, Ryan Madis and Katie (Greg) Lambert; a grandson, Aiden Lambert; her mother, Janet Jones; six siblings, Karri (Brian) Dimick, Michelle Jones, Tim (Elizabeth) Jones, Wendi (Dave) Hickman, Kristi (Cory) Allers and Kip (Kallen) Jones; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. James Kent will officiate.
