Donald R Parmann
Donald Raymond Parmann, 80, of Marysville, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
He was born August 25, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Victor and Cornelia Parmann. He was a member of the Port Huron High School Class of 1953. He married Marjorie Klee on April 4, 1959 in Ruth, Michigan.
Mr. Parmann was employed as a supervisor with Ford Motor Company for over 30 years until his retirement. He also owned Soot-a-Way Chimney Sweep, which he worked for many years with his boys. Donald enjoyed nature and deer hunting. He played lots of cards and bowled in many leagues. He loved beekeeping, and there was always lots of honey at his home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marjorie; six children, Benita (Shayne) Werth, Ronald (Annie) Parmann, Michele (Gerald) Kennie, Thomas (Tina) Parmann, Edward Parmann, and Angela Parmann; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Marysville Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Parmann will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Christopher Catholic Church. Pastor James Arwady will officiate.
Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ruth, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.
