Alberta M Smalldon
Alberta Marie Smalldon, 93, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, December 25, 2015.
She was born November 28, 1922 in St. Clair to the late Marvin and Winifred Siler. She married Francis L. Smalldon on December 1, 1945 in Goodells. He died on March 24, 1997.
Mrs. Smalldon loved spending time with her family and friends, previously hosting family dinners and later attending others. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, visiting the casino and going “up North”. She loved attending reunions held for the former crew of the USS Density, on which her husband served during World War II.
She is survived by her children, Charlene (Russell) Anglebrandt, Cheryl (Robert) Kinney and Frank Smalldon; grandchildren, Scott (Heidi) Anglebrandt, Bryan (Donna Johnson) Anglebrandt, Tina (Max) Monzo, Robert (Randi) Kinney and Kimberleigh Louks-Smalldon; great grandchildren, Hailey, Trenton, Leiah, Elizabeth and Teaghan Anglebrandt, Joshua Monzo, Jessica, June and Michael Kinney, and Jade Louks; sister-in-law, Jane Siler; a special niece, Linda Farrer and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Franklin Benjamin Smalldon; and brothers, Merlin (Olive) Siler, Eugene (Helen) Siler and Darwin Siler.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Kreger will officiate.
Burial will follow in Caswell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott and Bryan Anglebrandt, Joshua Monzo, James Siler and Richard Smalldon.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice.
