R. David McCue

R. David McCue, 84, of Port Huron Township, passed away peacefully Christmas Day, December 25, 2015, after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born September 8, 1931 in Goodells, Michigan to Dr. Chrystal and Susannah McCue.

Dave was a teamster truck driver and worked for Brownie Corporation and Coolsaet Construction Company. He was a handy man in many other aspects and would help others whenever he could.

He is survived by his children, Dorothy (John) Barnes, Vicky McCue, Sherie (Terry) Fahey, Pam (Kolin) Lashbrook, Roderick (Karyn) McCue Jr., Daniel (Rachel) McCue and Lisa Steelman; his companion of 19 years, Emma Sharrow; brother, John; brother-in-law, John Perdue; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth and Gloria; and numerous grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Harvey; his twin brother, Richard “Dick”; brothers, Donald, Norman and William “Bill”; and sister, JoSue Perdue.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, December 28, 2015 in Columbus Baptist Church, 1258 Palms Road, Columbus, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service at church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Goodells, Michigan.

Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or the Child Evangelism Fellowship.
