Mae Jean Hool
Mae Jean Hool, 88, of St. Clair Township, died Sunday, January 31, 2016.
She was born March 24, 1927 in Bad Axe to the late Henry & Isabelle Davison. She married Leonard Hool on October 27, 1945 in Port Huron. He died on July 7, 2008.
Mae was traffic manager at WHLS for several years and also worked for Dow Chemical. She was active with the Port Huron Museum, Huron Questers #892, Red Hats and St. Clair Library Friends book club. She was an avid reader, gardener, interior decorator and a Master Quilter. Mae was known for her soups and wonderful baked goods. Above all, she was family oriented and lived for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Bothwell; two sons, Brad (Alice) Hool and Patrick (Susan) Hool; beloved grandchildren, Brandon and Kylie Hool, Katie (Jeremy) Jones, Marjory (Steve) Kopp, Megan Hool and Rory (Michelle) Hool; her great grandchildren, Summer Kopp, Evie Jones, Oliver Reilly-Hool, and Benjamin Kopp; a brother, Norm (Kay) Davison; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Hool and Maxine Hool; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother Samuel Davison and her brothers-in-law, Lee & Garfield Hool.
A memorial service will be held at the family farm (5594 Rattle Run Road, St. Clair) at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Pastor Steve Kopp of Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship, Wyoming, Michigan, will officiate. Friends are welcome to attend.
