Alberta E Robson
God called home his good and faithful servant, Alberta E. Robson, 91, of Burtchville Township on Friday, April 22, 2016.
She was born July 8, 1924 in Jeddo to the late Travers and Cecil Keener. She married Ford Edison Robson on October 18, 1947 in Port Huron. He died August 18, 1992.
Mrs. Robson was a lifelong area resident and community activist. She was a member of Lakeport Wesleyan Church for over 40 years and was involved in every aspect of the church. She was a charter member of the Tapestry Garden Club, volunteered at the We Care Resale Shop in Yale and served on the Burtchville Township Election Board for many years. She was a woman of today, always keeping up with the latest. She had a deep passion for the Lord and served him well. She loved to cook, garden, mentor others, had a great zeal for life and was well known for her famous pies.
She is survived by four siblings, Zetta Essenburg, Frederick (Carol) Keener, Madeline Avery and Jane Kidd; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to whom she was a second mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Bill Essenburg, George Kidd and Ray Avery.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 26, 2016 in Lakeport Wesleyan Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lou Gostinger, Konrad Swenson, Ken Keener, Tom Keener, Bill Essenburg and JoAnn Vargo.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeport Wesleyan Church or the We Care Resale Shop.
