Lila L Yax

Lila LaPalm Warsinske Yax, of Port Huron, entered into eternal life on Monday, May 2, 2016.

She was born to the late Percy and Pauline LaPalm in Melvindale. She married George Warsinske and together they raised eight children and opened their home to numerous foster children. She later married Robert Yax.

Lila was a wonderful cook. She loved watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings on TV. She also loved playing volleyball and bowling. Her greatest joy in life was being with children.

She is survived by her eight children, Thomas (Amanpreet) Warsinske, Denis (Trisa) Warsinske, Terrie (Dennis) Brownell, Tim Warsinske, Lorrie (Craig) Maxwell, Douglas Warsinski, James (Cheryl) Warsinske and Shelly Loznak; two daughters-in-law, Andra Warsinske and Karen Kaltz; son-in-law, Mark Loznak; 14 grandchildren, Sara and Scott Brownell, Kevin (Janeen), Benjamin (Rachel), and Rebecca Maxwell, Andrew, Steven (Angie), Kelsey, Hayley, Kristen and Branden Warsinske, Pamela (Vince) Buccirosso, Natalie and Melanie Loznak; eight great grandchildren, James, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua and Ruth Maxwell and Dominic, Christopher and Joseph Buccirosso; a brother, Robert (Audrey) LaPalm; a sister, Rita Rencola and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph LaPalm; and husbands, George Warsinske and Robert Yax.

A memorial gathering and luncheon will be held at noon Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Alexander’s Banquet Hall, Marysville with visitation starting at 11:30 am.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
