Floyd C Fenner
Floyd Clifford Fenner, 100, of Marysville died Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
He was born August 13, 1915 in Port Huron to the late Bert and Margaret Fenner. He married Virginia McCallum in 1941. She preceded him in death in 2001.
Mr. Fenner served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart for his service. Following the war, he owned and operated Fenner’s Fabric Shop with his wife and was a self-employed painter. He was a charter member of the American Legion Marysville Post #449 and was a great patriot who flew his flag every day. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels in his yard.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Ed) Polovich; grandchildren, Lorraine Curell, Donald (Amanda) Paterson Jr. and Kenneth (Rose) Polovich; great grandchildren, Ryan (Emily) Curell, Kaitlyn Currell, Austin, Jake and Ella Paterson, and Christian Polovich; special cousin, Jeanne Elliott; sister-in-law, Ramona Fenner (Joseph) Vansach; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Paterson; grandson, Daniel Polovich; and brothers, Bert, Harley, George and Elton Fenner.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday in Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Marysville Funeral Home. Reverend Dallas G. Berry of Gateway Church will officiate. Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Fred Fenner, Frank Pickett, Kenneth Polovich, Donald Paterson, Christian Polovich and Austin Paterson.
