Barbara E LaVere

Barbara Elizabeth LaVere, 78, of Port Huron, died Monday, September 19, 2016 surrounded by family.

She was born April 17, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Gordon and Bessie Stanlake.

Barbara worked as a lunch aide for many years with the Port Huron Area School District. She enjoyed fishing, riding horses, birdwatching, and gardening. She also loved to cook and scrapbook.

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Marie) LaVere II and Danny (John Gorski) LaVere; a daughter, Nicky Pfaff; granddaughter, Holly LaVere; great granddaughter, Lillian LaVere; her brother, Gordon (Nancy) Stanlake; her sister, Mary Poor; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Joe DeHass will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
