Patricia Steiner

Patricia June Steiner, 77, of Port Huron, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born September 19, 1939 in Bayard, Nebraska to the late Henry and Lydia Meter. The family moved to Port Huron in 1942. She married William C. Steiner July 27, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Huron.

Patricia worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company after graduation from high school. Later, she worked as the hot lunch program coordinator at the Trinity Lutheran School for 8 years and the Mercy Hospital gift shop manager for 12 years. While at the hospital, she was the volunteer of the year in 1998. Patricia’s life was centered around her family. She gave love and received love in return. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William; a son, Douglas Huston; a daughter, Kimberley (Steven) Westbrook; a grandson, Bradley Westbrook; a great-granddaughter, Jasmyne Westbrook; a sister, Shirley (Donald) Porter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Bradley Gerald; and her parents, Henry & Lydia Meter.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bill Austin will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mid -City Nutrition Center or Trinity Lutheran School.
