William Hency
William Melvin Hency, 80, of Port Huron, died Sunday, October 9, 2016.
He was born September 18, 1936 in Port Huron to the late Melvin and Mary Hency. He married Christina Zimmer on August 16, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mr. Hency was employed with National Distillers and then owned Uncle Bill’s Party Store in Fort Gratiot. He enjoyed sports, online poker, Texas hold ‘em, and his daily phone calls with his longtime friend Jack Hillman.
He is survived by his wife, Christina; two children, Ronda (Ray) DeBlair and Miranda Hency; a granddaughter, Dana (Rick) Eagle; three great grandchildren, Damian Hency, Dalton Hency and Cheyenne Eagle; a brother, Lyle (Jackie) Cataline; a sister, Linda (Roger) Bundy; two sisters-in-law, Sherri (Robert) Armstrong and Sundae (Jeff) Hickey; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside committal services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
