Hollis Wilkins

Hollis Wilkins, 91, of Marysville, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

He was born May 4, 1925 in East Detroit to the late Walter and Mary Ellen Wilkins. He married Dianne Wilkins on May 27, 1959 in Utica.

Mr. Wilkins worked in auto sales and management for McGlone Cadillac in Harper Woods and then owned and operated Holly’s Fine Cars in Leesburg, Florida, until retiring in 1987. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He enjoyed bird watching and boating on his Chris-Craft mahogany speed boat, “Phantom.” He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dianne; three children, Thomas (Diane) Wilkins, Pamela (Edward Jr.) Westrick and David (Michelle) Wilkins; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ellen Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter, Robert, Daniel and Earl.

Private services for the family will be held.
