Doris June Beeler, 82, of Kimball Township, died Sunday, March 12, 2017.
She was born September 23, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Richard and Julia LaVere. She married Clarence Beeler on May 5, 1951 in Port Huron.
Mrs. Beeler attended Port Huron High School and worked for Vlassic Foods for over 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Goodells for the past 17 years, was a former Sunday School teacher at Community Baptist Church and was active in the Golden Agers. She was an avid reader and a devoted prayer warrior.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clarence; five children, Cathy Beeler (Bob Burkett), Judy Winters, Jim (Cindy) Beeler, Tammy (Bruce) Parson and Joe (Shelley) Beeler; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Mackey; a sister-in-law, Ruth LaVere; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paul Winters; and two brothers, Richard (Karen) and Russell LaVere.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Bill Poma and Pastor Randall Clark will officiate.
