Gary N Bender

Gary Norman Bender, 81, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

He was born December 19, 1935 in St. Clair Shores to the late Norman and Evelyn Bender. He married Bridget Abraam on October 15, 1981 in Marine City.

As a young man, Gary participated in many Rodeos as a rider. He was employed as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.

Gary is survived by his wife, Bridget; children, Larry (Cindy) Bender, Keith (Lisa) Bender and Cindy Szpakowski; step-children, Shannon Mills and Brian (Elizabeth) Haller; 12 grandchildren; and siblings, Richard (Laura) Bender, Pinky (Linda) Bender, Ginger Clayton and Delores White. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Smith.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
