Margaret J Perry
Margaret Jean Perry, 79, of Emmett, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 23, 2017 after a valiant battle against dementia.
She was born February 10, 1938 in Pontiac to the late Jean and John Martin Sr. She married Leonard Perry on June 1, 1957 at Stone Baptist Church in Auburn Heights.
Margaret worked as head cook at St. Clair County Medical Center. She was a member of Port Huron Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to and singing gospel and Irish music, and crocheting. Most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard; three daughters, Kimberly (William) Goode, Michelle Janiszewski and Amy (Michael) Owen; seven grandchildren, William (Karina) Goode, Ryan Goode, Ashley (Dr. Michael) Knecht, Chelsea Goode, Brooke (David) Pembroke, Timothy (Megan) Janiszewski and Courtney Owen; nine great grandchildren, Olivia, Gavin, Lauren, Charlie, Anya, Alicja, Ainsley, Hadley and Dominic; four siblings, Bernice Chavez, Mary Ivey, Sharlene Nelson and James “Larry” (Dawn) Martin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Janiszewski; and siblings, John Martin Jr., Sharon Shubert and Susan Pruitt.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastors Kevin and Jessica Totty of #c4yourselfchurch will officiate.
Burial will be in Ruby Cemetery, Clyde Township. Pallbearers will be Margaret’s family.
