Kathryn Marie Hess, 68, of Fort Gratiot Township, died Sunday, June 25, 2017.
She was born March 30, 1949 in Port Huron to the late Kenneth R. and Lillian M. Wyllie. She married Thomas J. Hess on January 27, 1973 in Port Huron. He died October 20, 2010.
Kathy developed and operated Fort Trodd Campground with her husband, Tom. For several years in the 1970s she was the director of the Port Huron School of Business. Kathy was an artist who especially enjoyed creating pastel drawings for her family, was fluent in French, and was a former member of the Red Hats Society.
She is survived by her sons, Todd Hess and Troy (T.J.) Hess; grandchildren, Niah, Nevin, John, and Avery Hess; siblings, Patricia Bennett, Janet Wyllie, Richard (Nancy) Wyllie, and her twin sister, Gigi (Bob) Bailey.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 30, 2017 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
