Ephraim Matthew “Bud” Frey, 80, of Kimball Township, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
He was born October 18, 1936 in Detroit to the late Harold and Gertrude Frey. He married Susan Rae Liscom on January 26, 1963 in Mt. Pleasant Gospel Church in Goodells.
Mr. Frey was employed at Chrysler Marysville for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Blue Water Free Methodist Church. Bud coached and played church softball for many years, pitching until the age of 70, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan; six children, Harold Frey, Allan (Carrie) Frey, Dale (Cindy) Frey, Gerald “Jerry” (Peryang) Frey, David Frey and Beverly Bennett (Al Taylor); 17 grandchildren, Chad (Francesca), Dakota, Brian (Chelsea), Matthew, Emily, Maycee and Noah Frey, Ariana, Charlie, Jessi-Ann, Cole, Orian, and Blake Bennett and Destin, Amber, Gracie and Jacoby Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Madilyn and Hunter and baby Frey on the way; a sister, Lorraine (Ed) Daugul; and a brother, Ray (Delores) Frey. He was preceded in death by six siblings.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 in Blue Water Free Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Randy Bennett will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township. Pallbearers will be Bud’s grandsons. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
