Vicki L Hand
Vicki L. Hand, 68, of Burtchville Township, was Promoted to Glory on Friday, July 7, 2017.
She was born March 13, 1949 in Port Huron to the late Charlie Taylor and Bertha Mae Deaton.
Vicki was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone, in local retailing and for a trucking company prior to her retirement. She was very active with the Salvation Army where she played in the band, and was involved in Girl Guards, Adventure Corp and Disaster Services. She was devoted to her animals and enjoyed crafts, quilting, scrapbooking, Christian music and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her niece whom she loved dearly, Stephanie (Gary Leak) Radatz; their children, JaeLynn and JezLynn Radatz , JaKiyah and Gary Leak Jr.; twelve brothers and sisters, Mable (Thomas) Dobson, Charlie (Krystal) Taylor, Theda (Tom) Dimon, Daniel Curtis, Debbie Helewski, Donald (Kris) Curtis, Maggie Curtis, Betty (Gregg) Hoppenworth, Kimberly Benedict, Lyle Curtis, Kathy (Rob) Davis and Chris (Michelle) Curtis; an aunt, Bonnie Storen; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James I. Hand, on May 9, 2012; her parents, Charlie Taylor and Bertha (Lyle) Curtis; and an uncle, Pat Storen.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 in the Salvation Army, Port Huron Citadel with a dinner to follow.
Inurnment will be in the Woodland Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron Township. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army.
