Donald W Brown

Donald W. Brown, 91, of Marysville died Monday, October 30, 2017.

He was born February 19, 1926 in Detroit to the late Harris and Anna Brown. He married Georgie Thomson June 14, 1947 in Croswell. She preceded him in death, after 68 years of marriage, on December 28, 2015.

Mr. Brown was employed with Detroit Edison for 41 years before his retirement. Donald was a proud World War II U. S. Army veteran. He loved traveling and working on home improvements.

He is survived by two children, Judith (Robert) Nofs and Gerald (Catherine) Brown; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andrew) Olfier, Jason Nofs, Selena (Brian) Erdmann, Cindy Brown (Chad Gaudette) and Mindy (Andrew) Kon; great grandchildren, Lennon and Cassidy Nofs, Tylor and Josh Erdmann, Amberly and Colin Bernardo, Peter, Patrick, Preston and Gage Gaudette, Will and Chris Kon and Baby boy Olfier.

Private services were held. The Reverend Barbara Wellbaum officiated.

Burial was in Riverlawn Cemetery. Military honors were conducted by the U.S. Army.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marysville United Methodist Church or Blue Water Hospice.
